Do you do special orders?
If we do not stock the item you need, we are happy to check price and availability through our many suppliers. Provide us with the information simply by clicking here, or you can call or visit us. Expect a response within 72 hours. A down payment is required before order is placed. We cannot cancel a special order once it is confirmed by our supplier. There are no refunds on special orders. Allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery.

Do you deliver?
We currently do not offer a delivery service within Grenada. Orders can be submitted online for in-store pick up. Please contact us for shipping rates and options to your country (Caribbean customers only).
Can I return deffective merchandise?
Products can be returned only by way of manufacturer defect. All defective products are evaluated upon receipt. There are absolutely no returns on compressors, capacitors and electrical components. We do not refund as a result of mishandling or misuse of products. Products must be returned to us with original packaging and receipt within three (3) days for refund or exchange to be considered.

Will DURACOOL® harm my Air Conditioning and/or its components?
DURACOOL® will not harm your AC system or its components. In fact, it will actually add life to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. This is because it is non-corrosive as compared to R-134a and the R-22 products that may breakdown into highly corrosive components.
Is DURACOOL® Toxic?
No. DURACOOL® Hydrocarbon refrigerants are non-toxic, and totally organic. This is one of the major differences between DURACOOL products and other commonly used refrigerants such as R-134a, which is highly toxic.
Is DURACOOL® flammable?
Like all hydrocarbons, DURACOOL® is flammable, and must be handled accordingly. Gasoline is flammable. Hair spray, deodorant and whipped cream aerosol propellants are flammable. All must be transported, handled and utilized (or installed) using safe practices and following instructions where possible.
Why does DURACOOL® have the scent of propane?
The additive "ethyl mercaptin" is actually a stenching agent that is added for safety reasons. Mercaptan, as it is commonly known, is added to natural gas, propane, butane and virtually all gases as an agent that will alert the user to any leakage. The addition of mercapan should be viewed as a safety feature . Mercaptan is also condensable in the AC system and cannot limit performance in any way and will not negatively impact components. The mercaptan smell is not detectable under regular working conditions or under normal install conditions.
Is DURACOOL® Environmentally friendly?
Yes. The DURACOOL® line of products is NON-OZONE DEPLETING and NON-GLOBAL WARMING. Only hydrocarbon refrigerants can claim to achieve both of these criteria.
Is Global warming really an issue?
The Government first found that use of CFC-12 greatly contributes to the depletion of our ozone and has accordingly outlawed the use of the CFC-12 through a phased-out plan that was greatly accelerated. Now the Government has found that R-134a greatly contributes to the high global warming potential (GWP). The GWP issue has been the focus of the Kyoto Protocol Branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the issues of temperature changes throughout the world are receiving a great deal of focus. In fact, there has been an agreement with the countries in the United Nations to go forth with a gradual phase-out of HFC's such as R-134a (following in the footsteps of CFC-12). We anticipate that the phase-out will be accelerated just as the CFC-12 phase-out was as investigation and forecasting of global warming is completed and published.
Are DURACOOL® products efficient?
DURACOOL® products, and DURACOOL 12a® in particular, have been tested and demonstrated to operate even more efficiently than CFC R-12, and significantly more efficiently than HFC-134a. We have recorded energy savings of up to 35%, and increased longevity to air-conditioning systems and components.
DURACOOL 22a® and DURACOOL 502a® have also been proven to operate efficiently and effectively in R-22 and R-502 systems, respectively. DURACOOL® products will result not only in cost savings, but also in reduced repairs and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
Are hydrocarbons used in other areas of the world?
Overall, the experiences in Europe with ozone depletion and global warming have facilitated the need for government and industry to recognize and deal with the ever-growing environmental issues that face the planet. This has essentially galvanized many world leaders and governments to swing in behind the trend to hydrocarbon technology.
Overseas, there have been over 8 million domestic refrigerators and freezers manufactured out of Germany over the last few years alone, using hydrocarbon refrigerant.
