Duracool® Hydrocarbon Refrigerants to be launched in Grenada
Refrigeration and Air-conditioning technicians in Grenada and throughout the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) will soon have another supplier/distributor of hydrocarbon refrigerants within the sub-region.
SNJ Electrical, a refrigeration and air-conditioning parts and refrigerant supplier, who has been in this business for over twenty (20) years, is the sub-regional distributor for Duracool® branded refrigerants.
During a ceremony scheduled for Saturday January 28th, 2012, SNJ Electrical would launch the entire line of Duracool® refrigerants, for distribution throughout the sub-region. The launch ceremony would be held at the Spiceland Mall Car Park in Morne Rouge, St. George's, from 10:00 a.m.
Hydrocarbon refrigerants, has been identified as been non-ozone depleting and non-global warming and more energy efficient as compared to other HCFC and HFC refrigerants currently used world-wide.
This is the second Grenadian company that is a regional distributor for hydrocarbon refrigerants. The National Ozone Unit relates the popularity of hydrocarbon refrigerants in Grenada to the several training courses that it has organized in the last five years for refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians. SNJ Electrical has participated in many of these training programmes and its General Manager is currently the treasurer of the Grenada Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Ventilating Association (GRAVA).
At the launch SNJ Electrical with make several audio-visual presentations to outline the properties, advantages, usage and applications of the Duracool® products. The event would end with a MAC retrofit demonstration that would include the conversion of cars, SUV's and buses from R-134a refrigerant to hydrocarbon refrigerants.
