On Saturday February 28th 2012, SNJ Electrical, one of Grenada's leading suppliers of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment launched its newest line of products for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) market.

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning technicians in Grenada and throughout the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) will soon have another supplier/distributor of hydrocarbon refrigerants within the sub-region. SNJ Electrical, a refrigeration and air-conditioning parts and refrigerant supplier, who has been in this business for over twenty (20) years, is the sub-regional distributor for Duracool® branded refrigerants.

US EPA has approved Hydrocarbon Refrigerants
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved three hydrocarbon refrigerants as acceptable substitutes in household and small commercial refrigerators and freezers.

MOP 23 Coverage: GIZ launches new publications on natural refrigerant applications
At the 23rd Meeting of the Parties (MOP) to the Montreal Protocol, hosted on the island of Bali, Indonesia, GIZ presented three new publications aimed at helping countries phase-out HCFC-22 and convert to climate friendly alternatives such as hydrocarbons. Below we look at the first of these, the GIZ leaflet “Applications for low-GWP replacement for HCFC-22”.
